Due to high demand, most orders for our knives take 8–12 business days to process, excluding shipping time. For backordered items, processing may take 12–18 business days. Shipping times depend on your location. Within the continental US, USPS Priority Mail typically delivers in 2–4 business days, while UPS Ground takes 4–6 business days. We strive to keep our prices competitive by not including shipping costs in the price of our knives. Instead, we charge the exact amount we pay to ship your order via UPS or USPS, ensuring transparency and fairness for all customers.

Some countries impose additional taxes, duties, or customs fees on international shipments. These fees are determined by your local government and are not within our control. We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering to understand any potential charges.

Our knives are hand-ground with a sharpening angle typically set at 22 degrees per side, though slight variations may occur (between 21 and 23 degrees). For best results, we recommend using a 22-degree angle when sharpening your APX knife to maintain its edge.

You can adjust your Kydex sheath using a hair dryer on a high setting. If the sheath is too tight, heat the area around the knife’s entry point for 5–10 seconds (keeping the dryer 3–5 inches away), then insert and remove the knife a few times until it fits comfortably. If the sheath is too loose, heat the same area and gently press the Kydex inward to tighten the fit. Let the sheath cool completely before using it again.

Yes, the clip on your Kydex sheath can be removed if desired. However, we recommend keeping it attached for secure carrying. If you need assistance, contact our Customer Service team for guidance.

We currently offer standard sheaths designed for right-handed use, but we’re working on expanding our options. Please reach out to us at hello@apxknives.com to discuss your needs, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

We use premium-grade steel, such as 1095 high-carbon steel, for our blades to ensure durability and sharpness. Our handles are often crafted with materials like G10 or Micarta for a secure grip. Each product page provides specific details about the materials used in that knife.

Most APX Knives feature a durable black traction coating to protect against corrosion and reduce glare. Some models may have a stonewashed or satin finish, depending on the design. Check the product description for details on the finish of your specific knife.

We do not offer direct exchanges for a different model. However, you can return your knife within 30 days of receipt (in new, unused condition) for a refund, subject to our return policy, and then place a new order for the desired model. For details, see our Shipping & Returns page.
